Why we ask you to book direct
From the innkeepers
The listing sites are how most people find us, and we're not ungrateful for it. But they take a cut from us and add a service fee onto you, and between the two of those it's a meaningful share of a night's rate going to a company that has never made a bed here.
So the deal is simple. Book on this page and we don't pay a commission, you don't pay a service fee, and the difference sits somewhere between the two of us instead. It pays for the good coffee and the new roof on the cabin.
If you'd rather book through a platform, that's genuinely fine — we'll be just as glad to see you. But the calculator above shows what it costs, and we thought you should be able to see it.

Old Man's Cave, and the gorge trail down to Cedar Falls if you've got the legs for it.

Ash Cave, which is flat the whole way and the one to do with small children or bad knees.
14 min - Supper
Millstone BBQ in Logan. Get there before seven on a Saturday or don't bother.
18 min - Groceries
Kroger in Logan. There's nothing closer, so stop on the way in rather than on the way out.
19 min - Dark sky
John Glenn Astronomy Park. Free, open most clear nights, and genuinely worth setting an alarm for.
